Welcome to Mystery Manga Box. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website at mysterymangabox.co.uk and your purchase of any products or services from us.

Mystery Manga Box is a sole trader business based in the United Kingdom. When we say "we", "us" or "our" we mean Mystery Manga Box. When we say "you" or "your" we mean you as a customer or visitor to our website.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree please do not use our website or place an order.

SECTION 2 — ELIGIBILITY

By using our website and placing an order you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or guardian
You are resident in the United Kingdom
You are providing accurate and complete information when placing an order
You are purchasing for personal use and not for commercial resale

SECTION 3 — OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

Subscription Boxes

We offer three personalised manga subscription tiers — One Shot, Arc, and Saga. Each box is personally curated based on your quiz answers. By subscribing you agree that:

Your box contents will be selected at our discretion based on your quiz answers
We make no guarantee of receiving any specific title or series
Some volumes may be secondhand in excellent used condition and some may be brand new
We will use reasonable skill and care to match your quiz preferences but cannot guarantee a perfect match every time

Personalised Nature of Our Products

Every box is personally curated to your quiz answers and therefore constitutes a personalised product. This affects your return and cancellation rights as detailed in Section 7.

Sourcing Service

Our Source My Series service allows you to request specific manga volumes. We will provide a quote before purchasing anything. You are under no obligation until you confirm acceptance of our quote. We reserve the right to decline any sourcing request at our discretion.

SECTION 4 — THE QUIZ

To receive a personalised box you must complete our personalisation quiz. By completing the quiz you agree that:

Your answers will be used to curate your box
You will provide honest and accurate answers to help us match you correctly
We are not liable if inaccurate quiz answers result in a poor match
Your quiz answers are stored in accordance with our Privacy Policy

SECTION 5 — ORDERS AND PAYMENT

Placing an Order

When you place an order you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order at our discretion.

Payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is processed securely through Shopify Payments. We accept major credit and debit cards. By placing an order you confirm that:

The payment details you provide are accurate and complete
You are authorised to use the payment method provided
Your payment will be honoured by your card issuer

Subscription Billing

Subscription payments are taken automatically on your chosen billing cycle using the payment details provided at checkout. You will receive a notification before each renewal. You can cancel your subscription at any time — see Section 8.

Pricing

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders already placed and confirmed. Promotional prices are subject to their own terms and conditions.

SECTION 6 — DISPATCH AND DELIVERY

Dispatch

We aim to dispatch all orders within 7-10 working days of receiving your completed quiz answers. This allows us time to personally source the right volumes for you. Dispatch times are estimates and not guaranteed.

Delivery

We use Royal Mail Tracked 48 for all deliveries. Once dispatched you will receive a tracking number by email. Royal Mail typically delivers within 2-3 working days of dispatch. Total delivery time from order to doorstep is approximately 9-13 working days.

Delivery Area

We currently deliver to UK addresses only. We do not ship internationally at this time.

Risk and Ownership

Risk of loss and damage passes to you once we hand your parcel to Royal Mail. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we receive full payment.

Failed Deliveries

If delivery is attempted and fails Royal Mail will leave a calling card with instructions for collection or redelivery. We are not responsible for parcels that are not collected within Royal Mail's holding period. Redelivery costs in such circumstances are your responsibility.

SECTION 7 — RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Our full Returns and Exchanges Policy is available at [link to your returns policy page]. By placing an order you confirm you have read and understood our Returns and Exchanges Policy.

Key points:

We offer exchanges within 30 days of delivery
Items must be unread and in the same condition received
We do not offer refunds on personalised orders except where required by law
Damaged or incorrect items will be resolved at no cost to you

SECTION 8 — SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CANCELLATION

Cancellation by You

You can cancel your subscription at any time with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. To cancel log into your account and cancel from your subscription settings or contact us at hello@mysterymangabox.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are given for billing periods already paid.

Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or suspend your subscription at any time if:

Payment fails and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe
You breach these Terms of Service
We decide to discontinue the service

We will notify you by email if we cancel your subscription and refund any prepaid amounts for unfulfilled periods.

14 Day Cooling Off Period

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of placing your first order for a full refund provided no box has been dispatched. Once a box has been dispatched our standard returns and exchanges policy applies. As our products are personally curated they may qualify as personalised goods exempt from standard cancellation rights. Contact us if you have questions about your rights before placing an order.

SECTION 9 — CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer under:

The Consumer Rights Act 2015
The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013
The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008

If you believe goods we have supplied are faulty or not as described please contact us at hello@mysterymangabox.co.uk and we will resolve the issue promptly.

SECTION 10 — INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on our website including images, text, logos, graphics, and design is owned by Mystery Manga Box or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written consent.

The Mystery Manga Box name and logo are our trading identity. You may not use them without our permission.

Our website is powered by Shopify. Shopify's name, logo, and trademarks are the property of Shopify Inc.

SECTION 11 — RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Mystery Manga Box is powered by Shopify which enables us to provide our services to you. However any sales and purchases you make are made directly with Mystery Manga Box. By using our services you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Mystery Manga Box including any injury damage or loss resulting from purchased products and services. You hereby expressly release Shopify and its affiliates from all claims damages and liabilities arising from or related to your purchases and transactions with Mystery Manga Box.

SECTION 12 — LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law Mystery Manga Box shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our website or purchase of our products including but not limited to loss of enjoyment, loss of anticipated savings, or any similar losses.

Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.

You may not use our website or services:

For any unlawful purpose
To submit false or misleading information
To infringe the intellectual property rights of others
To harass, abuse, or harm any person
To attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our website or systems

These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and Mystery Manga Box agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

SECTION 18 — ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms together with our Privacy Policy and Returns and Exchanges Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Mystery Manga Box regarding your use of our website and purchase of our products. They supersede all previous agreements, communications, and understandings between us.
