RETURNS & EXCHANGES POLICY

Our Commitment

We hand pick every volume personally based on your quiz answers. We take enormous care with every box we send and we stand behind the quality of our curation. If something genuinely isn't right we'll always do our best to make it right.

Personalised Goods

Every Mystery Manga Box is personally curated to your individual quiz answers and therefore constitutes a personalised product. As a result your box may not be eligible for standard statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you have questions about your specific situation please contact us before placing your order.

Return Requests

We accept return requests within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in exactly the same condition you received it
  • The book must be unread — no creased spines, no turned page corners, no visible signs of use
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • You must have proof of purchase

Items showing any signs of having been read including creased spines, turned page corners, or wear not present at delivery will not be accepted for return or exchange. We reserve the right to refuse returns where items have clearly been read or used.

To request a return contact us at hello@mysterymangabox.co.uk with:

  • Your order number
  • The reason for your return request
  • A clear photograph of the item in its current condition

We will review your request within 24 hours. Do not send any items back without receiving written confirmation from us first — unrequested returns will not be accepted.

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. We strongly recommend using a tracked service as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit back to us.

Exchanges

Exchanges are our preferred resolution and we offer them within 30 days of delivery. If a volume isn't right for you — wrong genre, something you've already read, not aligned with your quiz answers — contact us at hello@mysterymangabox.co.uk and we'll find you something more suitable.

To be eligible for an exchange:

  • The item must be unread and in the same condition it was received
  • No creased spines, no turned page corners, no signs of use
  • Request must be made within 30 days of delivery

We will not process exchanges for items that show signs of having been read.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

We check every item carefully before dispatch. If you receive something damaged or incorrect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order
  • Send a clear photograph of the damage or issue to hello@mysterymangabox.co.uk
  • Include your order number

We will resolve the issue immediately at no cost to you — either a replacement or exchange depending on availability.

Refunds

Refunds are only issued where:

  • A suitable exchange cannot be found after a valid return is accepted
  • An item arrives damaged and no replacement is available

If a refund is approved it will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days of us receiving the returned item. Please allow additional time for your bank to process and post the refund.

We cannot offer refunds on subscription fees for billing periods already fulfilled.

Subscriptions

You can cancel your subscription at any time with no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Simply log into your account and cancel from your subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are given for partial billing periods already paid.

UK Consumer Rights

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of your first order for a full refund provided no box has been dispatched. Once a box has been dispatched and received our standard returns and exchanges policy applies. As our products are personally curated to your quiz answers they may qualify as personalised goods exempt from standard cancellation rights. Please contact us if you have any questions about your rights before placing an order.
